Our Duties and Responsibilites

Our duties are different than our responsibilities. Our duties are the “musts,” and our responsibilities are the “shoulds”.

Our duties are what we must do, which includes obeying the law, attending school, paying taxes, serving in the armed forces, and appearing in the court. If we do not do the “musts” or what we are supposed to do, we can get major consequences.

Our responsibilities are what we should do, which includes respecting or protecting the rights of others, helping our community, voting, being informed, taking part in government, be willing to serve, and tell what you think. I think we should do what we are responsible for. I’m not sure what are the consequences or even if there are consequences for not taking our responsibilities.
